Hi,

 

 I'm Russ and I like to take photographs.  

 

Frankly, to be honest with you, I'm really good at taking thousands of terrible photographs. Every once and a while I manage to take a decent photo.  Those decent photos are what I put here on my website.

 

I was born in Utah, and lived the majority of my life in the state, much of it in the red rock country of the southern Utah.  I've also had the opportunity to live on the east coast and have since moved to the Black Hills in Wyoming.  Over the last decade I've been lucky enough to live and work in the national parks.  Living in these amazing and gorgeous places has also given me the opportunity to learn photography and take pictures of the world-class landscapes around me.

My photography is my recreation, my relaxation, and how I fill my free time.  Sharing my photographs online is simply my way of sharing these amazing landscapes with the world and with people who may not be able to come see these amazing places on their own.
